WNW post from Musings of a Muse

Wet n Wild Dreamweaver ColorIcon Trio Eyeshadow Swatches

by the Muse on July 25, 2011

The new Wet n Wild DreamWeaver Collection brings out six new ColorIcon Trio Eyeshadows for $2.99 each.
These are popping up for a limited time in drugstores however I personally don’t think you have to rush to grab them as they have alot of similar shades in them from ColorIcon’s past…and some even remind me of shades from both the Fall and Holiday 2010 release. So if you own alot of WnW already just check your stash for possible dupes before dishing out any cash.
Here’s a few swatches, I’ll follow up with a review soon!

Will you be hauling them?
Available now at drugstores.

I can't wait to get my hands on these!!!!

Wet n Wild Greed Palette video

I am a HUGE fan of Wet N Wild eye shadows! Let me stress that I do NOT like any other products from them so far from what I've tried. The eyeliners, blushes, mascaras, etc I'm not a fan of. I do think that the lipsticks are wearable but I wouldn't oh and ah over them, but the eye shadows never cease to amaze me! The pigmentation is crazy! Every time I get a new palette from Wet N Wild (which let me add the price is awesome) I always go to YouTube to see other viewers ideas on how to wear them. I would say I'm good at applying colors just not as good with coming up with color combos  (I'm not too proud to admit that) so I always go there and see how other people do it and try that. I found a video that I love! It's so easy to mimic and it looks so pretty and soft. The peaches looks amazing with the grays and smokey blacks and then paired with the light pink cheeks and lips, it looks so pretty! So without anymore rambling, here we go! Be sure and let me know if you would like to see any other kind of look and I'll scope it out for ya!

Wet N Wild Knock on Wood

First let me say that I know my pictures aren't the greatest, but I promise you this look was super cute! I'm wearing it today and 3 people have already complemented me on it (and it's only 7:12 am!) First let me show you the palette.

I can't even begin to express how impressed I am with the pigmentation of Wet N Wild products!
Here you can see the swipe from the palette to skin.

Ok so I started with a primer and then added the browbone color all over my entire lid all the way up to my eyebrow line.
  • Next I added the Eyelid color to my eyelid (go figure right?) :) I kept the outer corner a little lighter and let the browbone color show through a little more to create that brighter inner eye look.
  • Last I added the crease color to the outer corner of my eye by circling the brush in the outer corner and then blending that in toward my nose (not putting color to my nose just toward it)
  • The browbone wasn't light enough for me so I added MAC Vanilla to the browbone and worked it in toward the inner corner of my eye just to add some light to it.

  • I finished up with a brown liner (Not sure what I used sorry) and the almighty Loreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black.

Here is the finished look!

Again my phone camera isn't the greatest but it's something right? This is so great for any skin tone, any color eye or hair. The mauve tones didn't come through too well but you can see the actual color from the palette above. The colors are much deeper than shown here but I tried I promise!
